Technology Transfer, Innovations and Intellectual Property Department (TT2ID) is the division of the Institute of Physics (IOP) since April 15, 2008. The TT2ID creation has been initiated by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine the goal being to improve the protection of intellectual property rights, facilitate the investigations of market relevant to science-intensive developments and support the technology transfer.
DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED THE MECHANISM OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
IN THE INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS OF NAS OF UKRAINE.
Formalization of relations between research scientists and the Institute.
All employees of the Institute of Physics of NAS of Ukraine that take part in conducting of research and development works (R&D works), research and engineering works (R&E works), research and technical and research and technological works are obliged according to the Ukrainian law to sign with the Institute the following treaties:
According to “Normative acts on issues in intellectual property protection and technology transfer” of NAS of Ukraine, patent research and documents based on it (report and patent form) are component parts of R&E and R&D works, results of which have applied relevance.
Patent research is conducted by employees of the Institute’s scientific departments with methodological assistance of TT2ID employees.
In institutions activity of which fully or partially is funded by the government patent research is conducted under DSSU 3575-97 «Patent research. Basic provisions and procedure» and DSSU 3574-97 «Patent form. Basic provisions. Preparation and drawing up procedure».

Use of created official IPO
Created official IPO of the Institute can be used for own production output, provision of services or licensing.
Amount and procedure of remuneration to author for use of official IPO are determined in “Additional agreement to Agreement on official IPO and payment of remuneration for their use” according to «Regulation on creation, protection and use of intellectual property rights in the Institute of Physics of NAS of Ukraine and payment of remuneration to inventors».
Ukrainian law prescribes minimum remuneration amount for creator of IPO that protects his rights.

INSPECTION OF THE INSTITUTE’S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OBJECTS AND ORGANIZATION OF NEW IPO CREATION
Web page of Institute’s developments in Ukrainian and English was created. There was created database of unexpired patents of Ukraine and Russia (of 2000-2009) that the Institute of Physics of Ukraine of NAS of Ukraine or its employees or partner organizations own.
STCU prepared and held competition of innovative projects in the Institute of Physics, the winner of which senior researcher V.Neimash received funds for establishing of innovative enterprise “Technological complex for modification of matters, materials and constructions with the help of ionizing radiation”.
Currently there is continuing STCU competition on involvement of additional funding to the Institute of Physics.
DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT THE INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS AND ITS DEVELOPMENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMMERCIALISING OF TECHOLOGIES DEVELOPED IN THE INSTITUTE
ESTABLISHMENT OF CONTACTS WITH INNOVATIVE CENTRES AND BUSINESS.
There were signed agreements on cooperation with Harbin Center for High-Tech Incubation and Transfer, “Kharkiv technologies” center, North-East regional innovative development center, Lviv Centre for Scientific, Technical and Economic Information, P.N. Lebedev Physics Institute, Shanghai Technological Exchange.
COLLECTION AND DISSEMINATION OF SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ON INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

PARTICIPATION IN STATE TARGET SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOCAL PROGRAM "NANOTECHNOLOGY AND NANOMATERIALS" FOR 2010-2014, APPROVED BY DECREE OF CABINET OF MINISTERS OF UKRAINE OF 28.10.09 №1231
Within the program “Ensuring nanoindustry development” TT2ID created internet-office of technology transfer that would join and coordinate activity of specialists from technology transfer departments of different institutions of NAS of Ukraine for promotion of developments conducted for the funds of State program “Nanotechnology and nanomaterials”. There will be placed information on research and developments conducted within scientific and technical program “Nanotechnology and nanomaterials”.

Expert commission determines winner in the competition of innovative projects in the Institute of Physics.
