July 15, 2016 First Vice President of NAS of Ukraine, Head of the Physical-Technical and Mathematical Sciences Section of Ukraine, Сhief Researcher of Institute of physics of NAS of Ukraine, Academician Anton G. Naumovets was awarded by the Medal of UNESCO "For contribution to the development of nanosciences and nanotechnologies".

Award Ceremony scheduled for October 11, 2016 at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.

Medal of UNESCO "For contribution to the development of nanoscience and nanotechnologies" was founded in 2010, on the initiative of International Commission of developing section "Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies" in fundamental scientific UNESCO publication "Encyclopedia of life support systems". 24 outstanding scientists, organizations and public figures, who made great contribution to the development of nanoscience and nanotechnologies in accordance with the priorities of UNESCO were awarded by medal.
