Developing sensory seats for cars for measuring and analyzing the driver's physical condition (Korea)

The Korean SME, specializing in the manufacture of carcasses and components, is preparing a project proposal within the EUREKA program. The proposal for a R & D project is to develop sensory seats for cars to measure and analyze the driver's physical condition. A company or institute with expertise in sensor technology is invited to join a consortium for R & D cooperation.

Tasks to be performed by the partner sought - A problem domain should be selected based on his/her needs and requirements:

  • A system utilizing IoT and WSN for the selected problem. - A use case will be developed for the selected domain.
  • A commercial product should be developed utilizing the developed framework.

Thanks to its professional know-how in the production of automotive parts, the Korean company is able to recycle the design in the frame of sensor system. The company has enough equipment to produce and test prototypes. The company is currently at the stage of conception of this sensory built-in car seat and the process of writing a proposal. As mentioned above, the company seeks to partner with a partner that has a touch-sensitive technology, including the function of noise cancellation and the analysis of the physical state of the driver. The purpose of technology development for each phase is as follows:

  1. Step 1. Development of technology for measuring and analyzing physical state information, such as heart rate, respiration and stress levels.
  2. Step 2: Less than 10% of the frequency errors in measuring respiration and heart rate in the state of speed at 90 ~ 100 km, as well as temperatures at -40°C ~ 95°C.
  3. Step 3: Less than 10% of the error rate of physical analysis during traffic in conditions of rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration and road surface, etc.
  4. Step 4: Production prototype and performance evaluation.

Grouting solutions for water inflow stops, sealing of rock and decontamination in mining industry (Germany)

German SME offers a technology for immobilisation of contaminants and sealing of rock by using time dependent crystallisation, so called "Provoked mineral synthesis".

Using super saturated solutions it is possible to precipitate natural occurring minerals which reduce permeability of rock. Decontaminating metals can be fixed as sulphide.
