Participation of Coordinator of the Consortium EEN-Ukraine in the Aviation 2017 Forum in Linz
12-14 November 2017

The Aviation Forum-2017 was held from 12 to 14 November, 2017, where companies and research institutes in the field of aviation and light constructions from around the world met in Linz, (Upper Austria). The Consortium EEN-Ukraine became a co-organizer of the aviation event. Web-site.

AVIATION 2017 is the best place to look for new business, technology and research partners, as well as more detailed information on Upper Austria as a an aviation and light constructions hotspot. Aviation 2017 consisted of 3 parts:

  1. Artificial Intelligence;
  2. B2B-Meetings;
  3. Visits to the front-rank companies.

The event began on 12 November with a workshop on “Artificial Intelligence” at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz.

On 14 November were invited FACC and ComLT Composite Lab & Test who are the two largest companies in the Austrian aviation industry.

13 of November was a core of a three-days event. On this day, the b2b meeting was attended by the Coordinator of the EEN-Ukraine Consortium Dr. Olena Fesenko, holding talks with representatives of a number of aviation industry companies.

"The rapid development of cloud technologies, the Internet and various gadget applications leads to the emergence of new business models. It is becoming more international, companies are increasingly using outsourcing. It begins to be used in aircraft construction, although this industry is traditionally quite conservative ", - said Olena Fesenko. There have been fruitful discussions about supporting innovation management, building a network of partners. The meeting was followed by acquaintance with new tools of providing control services, corresponding services of their support, as well as the established European standards for assessing innovation management. Partners have successfully exchanged practical experience and contacts.

Within this Brokerage event was held the Company mission section. The Coordinator of the EEN-Ukraine Consortium Olena Fesenko took part in 10 meetings with representatives of companies working in the aviation industry. She introduced 7 Ukrainian companies abovementioned industry and distributed promotional products to inform potential partners for establishing cooperation. Among the interesting foreign companies were manufacturers of composites (also carbon contained), glass fibers, press-form lines, technology of measuring vibration and its reduction, the system of balance and connection of large parts of the plane. The latter is important because the planes are built like large blocks, which then have to be connected together. Sometimes individual blocks reach 15 meters in length and up to 5 meters in height. The accuracy of manipulations with such parts reaches millimeters.

Also at the Aviation2017 Forum, they talked about "smart" technology and Artificial intelligence to analyze large amounts of data, including images and sound. These technologies are gradually beginning to be used for security control at airports. In addition, it was showed technology of simulation of both video and sound. Striking is the modern level of the ability to create high-quality simulated video, which can be distinguished from the real one only by using special equipment.

The Forum considered the use of artificial intelligence in machine- and robot construction. The autonomous systems of the future will be guided by artificial intelligence and it will become possible studing for machines. This will have a direct influence on the autonomy of the robots and their relationship with each other.

So, at the Aviation Forum 2017, there were a lot of interesting events. In particular, they showed dances, voluminous figures in the execution of arrays of drones. It's looks like a salute which you can program. They can already create shapes, different inscriptions in the air, and also developed on the basis of dron interactive lightlamps with motion sensors and voice for home use. Nowadays, in the leading countries of the world, the aviation industry is trying to use, not only 3D-printing, but already 4D-printing. It is believed this will significantly change.

The event also become a platform to enable companies and research institutes in the field of aviation to have a unique opportunity to expand their network and find new business partners. Interested parties could also register on the Internet and submit their proposals for cooperation to international audiences.
