Lecture title: Atomic Force Microscopy and Spectroscopy.

Lecture abstract: In this lecture I will present the two modes of Atomic Force Microscopy, contact mode and tapping mode. Contact mode will be mainly illustrated through examples focused on spectroscopy which can probe various properties of the sample surface, related to the interactions with the AFM tip. I will develop theoretical aspects mostly underlying tapping mode. This will allow to present as well how tapping mode spectroscopy also leads to information on surface visco-elastic of even hydrophobic properties.
