Lecture title: Advances in Resonance Raman and SERS for surface characterization
Lecture abstract: Fundamentals of Raman spectroscopy technique (both conventional and in Resonance conditions) will be overviewed together with some experimental results obtained (with particular experimental set-up) on systems active in heterogeneous catalysis. Application of SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) to the study of silica surface species and molecules, together with new synthesis protocols to get clean SERS active systems, will be shown.
