My research focuses on special class of soft matter, a namely on liquid crystals. The main interest is the study of cholesteric liquid crystals and their composites, including dispersions of colloidal particles. At present in my researches much emphasis is placed the study of the photosensitive cholesterics.

Recently my interest also focuses on studies of blue phases of the pure cholesteric liquid crystals doped by photosensitive chiral dopants, reactive mesogen monomers and different nano-particles. I am also interested in chiral nematic twist-bend (N*tb) and chiral nematic ferroelectric (N*F) phases.
