Information Day in Rivne "How to find a business partner in the European Union"

The EEN-Ukraine Consortium, together with the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine held an information day "How to find a business partner in the European Union?" on November 8, 2018 in Rivne. The event was attended by over 40 representatives of innovative enterprises, non-governmental organizations and various start-ups of the region.

The main topics of the event were:

  1. The benefits of a deep and comprehensive free trade area (GWWT) for Ukrainian entrepreneurs
  2. Opportunities for COSME (Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises), European Small and Medium Enterprise Support Program for Business Development in Ukraine
  3. Presentation of the possibilities of the Enterprise Europe Network as an instrument for finding partners and investors abroad.
  4. Practical advice on entering the European market and finding business partners from local entrepreneurs and specialized professionals who are already successfully operating in the EU market.
  5. Steps of the Government of Ukraine for the implementation of the deep and comprehensive free trade area (GWWT) agreement for Ukrainian entrepreneurs
  6. Practical advice on the participation of entrepreneurs from Ukraine in European public tenders.

The main experts of the event were:

  • Mykola Chaika, Expert of the European Enterprise Network (Enterprise Network);
  • Taras Komarenko, Director of the Rivne Business Support Center;
  • Ruslan Kostiukevich, Coordinator of NGOs "Regional Center for European Integration Projects";
  • Alexander Nikitenkov, Head of the practice of tender support of the law firm "Pravoe Delo".

Participants in the Information day received detailed information about European Business Support Tools and SME Survey: Horizon 2020, COSME, EEN. A lot of business contacts were received from companies interested in further cooperation with the EEN Consortium. Participants of the seminar were interested in information on the effective use of European programs, and in particular Enterprise Europe Network. There was also an interest in the success stories of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in European markets which has been achieved with the help of the EEN-Ukraine Consortium.
